God of Love

For God so loved the world that he gave his only beggotten son that whoever believes in him will never perish but have everlasting life. This is a very popular verse to the Christians. It is also very powerful. It summarizes the extent of who God is and how much we mean to him. When God created man, his intention was for man to have a great relationship with him in the garden of Eden. This was never to be so as sin was introduced and man fell. Since then God has been trying to get ways of getting man back to himself. This he did by sending prophets. By using them, he hoped that we shall repent and turn back to him.
Sometimes this worked and people would repent and turn back to God. After sometime they would forget and fall into sin again. The God of Love never gave up, he would send another prophet and give the human race another chance to be reconciled back to him. Most of the time people were so comfortable in sin that they would not want any one to get them out of it. Most of the prophets were locked up in prisons and others brutally killed.
God of Love never gave up. He had one last option. He thought, if I sent my own Son, they will listen to him. The truth is, they did not listen to him. They mocked him, accused him of blaspheming God and finally they crucified him. Today, God is knocking at your heart asking if you can allow him to come in. His Love for you is so great that there is nothing he cannot forgive. Just let him into your heart and start a new life with him.

The Love of God

Mathew 18:10-14, The Love of God is well portrayed. This is in the
parable of the lost sheep. It tells of how a farmer had a hundred
sheep. One of them got lost while in the field. He left the ninety nine
and went to look for the one. He found it and was full of joy as he
herded back to the flock. The love of God is so great for each and
every one of us that he hurts so much when we go astray. Thats is why
he sent his Son Jesus Christ to come redeem us from sin.
The Love of God for his people is so genuine and true. He is a forgiving God. He turns away his anger when we return to him with repentance. His love is constant and never changing. It the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. This tells us that there is nothing you can
ever do to earn that love. It should also make you face life with a better perception.
If God loves you and me, it means that he wants the best for us. We always want the people we love to have the best, to always be happy and fulfilled. We even go an extra mile for them, just to make sure that they are happy. So does God. All you need to do is ask him for his will to be done in your life. I guarantee you that you will live a very happy and fulfilled life.

Is God Love?
Sometimes
when we are overwhelmed with things around us, we wonder where God is.
Other times we wonder if he truly loves us considering what is
happening around us. The answer is God is love. He loves us that he was
ready to do the most painful thing in his whole entire life; Give up
his Son for us to be reconciled back to him. God was ready to watch his
Son crucified for our sake.
God is Love. You will find that, the whole Bible especially the New Testament can be summarized into one word Love. The first commandment God gave Moses was on Love. This means that this subject is very dear to him. God also makes it clear that if you can be able to love him, keeping the other commandments becomes very easy.
The next time you wonder if God is Love, just think of the good things that surround you. God does not let bad things happen to us without a reason. Most of the time, it is to make us better Christians and cement the relationship we have with him. You will find that whatever you go through is meant to be an encouragement to someone else in the future. God's love cannot let us fully despair when in trials and temptations. When you feel like his love for you is not evident, the best thing is to spend time in his presence. Read the Bible and pray. Soon you will realize that his love was always there, you just grew cold to it.

If God is Love

Most of the time, I find myself asking the question, if God is love, why don't I feel it around? Sometimes I wonder how a creation can be the exact opposite of the creator. It's like having an Asian baby and the parents are pure whites. It seems impossible but that is what we have become. God is loving, merciful, kind, slow to anger, forgiving and compassionate. If our father and creator has these qualities, how come we do not have them. We have fallen so far from the glory of God that we do not have anything in common with him.
If God is love, why do we not show compassion to the needy in the society. You may find that your neighbour has no food and you still go ahead and eat then throw away the left overs. What happened to us. God loves us the same. Your neighbour and everybody else in the world belong to one God. He loves everyone the same. What makes you despise your neighbour?
If God is love, why is the world full of so much evil. Murders, rape, incest and many other evils are all over. Why is this so if God is love? Why don't we emulate our father who at in heaven and love as he does? I know its hard to feel anything for people you are not related to but nothing is impossible with God. He gives to them who ask. Just go before him and ask him to plant the seed of love in your heart.
If we all loved as God does we would have a paradise here on earth. Actually this would just be like heaven. I believe that if God is love, we can also love like he does.
