Friends, last week I thought to myself may God forbid me ever getting proud, for I got the image of skin, bones and a bag of dust!

God made us from the earth and when we die we shall return to dust. When He comes again in glory to receive all those who He sees fit to enter into His Kingdom, we shall be given new bodies.

All our talents, gifts are from Him. Wisdom, intelligence, our entire being is His creation. We look to people and raise them up on pedestals. Scientists to surgeons, sculptors to saints, we stand in awe of their achievements and make them our idols.

God looks at us and perhaps wonders why do we look at our or others achievements and forget that it all comes from Him, our Creator?

Skin, bones and a bag of dust, that's what I want to be reminded of when I think of myself, lest I become proud. The rest, if any of it good is all from Him.

"Lord Jesus thank You for reminding us that You are our Creator and therefore if we boast let us boast about You. Help us never to be proud and if we should fall or fail, correct us and bring us to right order again. Please do not let self have victory over us, we put it at the Foot of the Cross today. Take over our lives and make us holy. Thank You amen."
