Description

This is an ORIGINAL c.1915-1920 postcard of the Swedish athlete Ricardo Nelson billed as "The World's Strongest Man" (see pics).
Nelson was a national hero in his home country where he was known as “The Swedish Lion” but was not as well known in the U.S. Nelson was famous for his steel bending feats: scrolling, spike bending, bending steel in his teeth, he was said to even be able to bend a coin with his fingers.
The card is a multi-view and shows Ricardo bending horseshoes with his teeth and also re-bar around his thigh.  He could also take a piece of braided heavy rope and pull it apart with his upper body.  Very cool postcard that is from a long forgotten period in our history as the back is marked, "Don't forget the Vaudeville Show".  The card is in nice shape as it does have some light toning.  The corners look real nice with NO creases anywhere on this card.  Unused card in great shape.  This postcard will ship for FREE!  Thanks for viewing.............Triple K
