Carlos Lopez-Ruiz Original Mid Century Art Circus Clown Drawing Painting Rare.
Frame measures approx. 15" x 13".
Actual viewable area of art is 9-1/2" x 7-1/2".
From the paper on the back, as best as I could read it with missing portions:
"Carlos Lopez-Ruiz: Before coming to the United States, Carlos Lopez-Ruiz was an established illustrator and caricaturist in his native Bogata, Colombia. In 1953, He came to the Corcoran Art School in Washington, D.C. on a two-year scholarship.  His ensuing art education included seven years of intensive study of the hundreds of old masters in the great art galleries and museum collections of the United States, including the National Gallery, Phillips Gallery and The FIne Arts Branch of The Smithsonian Institute in Washington; The Metropolitan Museum and Museum of Modern Art in New York; and museums and galleries in Philadelphia and California.
Finding the need to study among his chosen subjects, he went to Mexico where he lived and painted for three years before returning to the United States and California. He now occupies a studio and gallery on Corley Avenue near Leffingwell in Whittier. His works have been exhibited in Washington, D.C., New York, Virginia, Texas, Mexico, Bogata, Colombia and throughout California."
By the way it is worded and printed in the present tense, the artist was still alive at the time the paper was printed and stuck on the back.
This would make a great unique addition to anyone's clown or art collection.
