MAKER: E. J. Ridgway & Sons circa 1872.  "The registration diamond is for 9 October 1871, Parcel 8, for E. J. Ridgway & Sons, Hanley. Godden lists this as 'Printed design for dinner wares'. The impressed marks are both "2/72", a date code indicating the blanks were made in February 1872."  Text borrowed from the Ridgway Pattern Book.
