    Item Description
    Up for your consideration is a very fine p
    air of original paintings by the renowned Cuban artist Sandu Darie (1908 - 1991). The piece are casein/gouache on paper, and feature Darie's initials. The pieces are each signed in the lower right corner and are professionally framed.
    Both paintings are in excellent condition, showing light surface wear, and measure 18.5" x 26", and the outer dimensions of the frame are 24.5" x 32.5". and the other is 25.5" x 33.5".
    Provenance: Galería La Acacia, Havana. Pan American Art Projects, Miami. Acquired from the above by the present owner (October 2013).
    These paintings featuring letters are rare, and one similar pair (albeit smaller) sold for ,000 (plus buyer's premium) at a major New York auction.
