Offered for sale is this fine Ridgway quart pitcher from the Coaching Ways and Coaching Days series. The series was printed in black on a brown ground and illustrated scenes from a popular novel. This particular pitcher has a hinged silverplate cover that tips open as you pour and closes again when the pitcher is set upright. There is a monogram on the cover. Ridgway marks on the base.
The pitcher is 5 1/2 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide from spout to handle. It weighs 1 lb 6 oz (shipping weight 2 lbs).
Condition: Very good. Some fine clear crazing of the glaze, and some silverplate loss around the monogram, as shown. No chips or cracks.
