    Description

    Original vintage mid century mixed media piece created by listed California artist Magnus Engstrom. He achieved this dimensional, highly-textured effect by layering acrylic paint, newsprint and yet more paint upon a stretched canvas (wood stretchers are stamped "Wolsey Co., El Monte, CA"). Piece is boldly signed "Engstrom '67" in bottom right corner. It has been edged all the way around with black electrical tape, and judging by the age of the tape (which feels quite stiff when i try to lift a corner), i believe this to be original to the piece. I have not attempted to remove it, as i prefer to leave it as-found. It looks good, was well-done and nicely compliments Engstrom's use of thick and thin black lines and angles.
    Measures 30" tall by 15" wide - a striking modernist abstract/geometric in great colors. In excellent condition, no damage, no cracking, etc. Winner pays .00 shipping.
