    Description

    This vintage oil painting, although not signed, appears to the work of Edna Eicke (American 1919-1979).
    This painting is almost exactly like The New Yorker Magazine cover for March 1952.
    There is a missing sledder and two sleds.
    Eicke worked as an illustrator for many magazines.
    She is best known for her fifty-one New Yorker covers from 1945-1961.
    She studied at Parson School of Design in New York City.
    The overall size is approx. 12 1/4" x 16 1/2".
    The painting is under glass and photos were taken inside and outside the frame.
